Miss Dawn Hubbard and Miss Elizabeth McAllister are our two Family Workers. Miss McAllister works closely with external agencies and professionals in relation to families who require additional support. She works with a variety of families and is always available to offer emotional and financial advice and support.
Miss Hubbard gives emotional and practical advice and support to families that are having long and short-term difficulties. By supporting families and facilitating groups she helps parents and carers support their child’s learning and, ultimately, enjoys spending time with their children.
Both Family Workers work closely with the Education Welfare Officer and carry out Home visits in order to monitor attendance.
Mrs Emma Wainwright and Mr Ian MacArthur are our Learning Mentors. As Learning Mentors they work either with individual children or small groups to help children to achieve their full potential and overcome particular barriers to learning. A Learning Mentor is a professional friend who can bridge the gap between home and school, providing support and practical advice on various issues that may be affecting a pupils learning.
Come along to any of our sessions that are run in school. Contact the school for more details...
