We rounded off this half term with an amazing cake sale. Pupils and staff were invited to bring cakes into school which were then sold as part of our Bake it Better event, raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. By selling cakes, we developed our understanding of the key values of unity and appreciation. Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is a place where seriously ill children from across the UK go for life-saving treatments. This extraordinary place has always depended on charitable support.
Every day 260 new children arrive at GOSH, many of whom are seriously ill and few requiring immediate intensive care.
Every day 338 procedures are performed at GOSH, of which 54 are life-changing operations. Finally, the funds we raise can be a significant contribution to 644 potentially life-changing research studies which are currently active at GOSH.
Thank you for your support in making this event such a success and helping us to raise an amazing £327.93!
