Remembrance Service

Thank you to those who were able to join us for this morning’s Remembrance Service where we observed a minute’s silence in front of our beautiful display of poppies. Children have been making the poppies in their classes all week and finding out about why we commemorate Remembrance thinking about the values of respect, appreciation and hatrmony. It was also lovely to have James from Chalk Hills Academy coming along to join us and playing the Last Post and Reveille on his trumpet, along with Corporal Matt Price from the Royal Air Force and Warrant Officer Paul English from the Royal Navy.

Our younger children were keen to find out more about the medals that our special visitors were wearing, and one of our older children has been inspired to produce a fantastic piece of art work.
