Captain Sir Tom Moore 101 Challenge - 30th April 2021

Year 4 enjoyed their maths challenges as part of the 101 Challenge commemorating the life of Captain Sir Tom Moore on the day that would have been his 101st birthday! Flamingo class investigated different ways to make £1.01 and Toucan class answered 101 questions on Times Table Rockstars and Sumdog.

The Water Cycle - 23rd April 2021

Year 4 have had fun experimenting with 'Water cycle in a bag' and making water cycle collages.

Swimming at Lea Manor - 22nd April 2021

Year 4 are super excited to be starting their swimming lessons today at the pool at Lea Manor.

Children have really enjoyed learning about the Egyptians and put their skills to good use making shadufs and doing some weaving.

Axe Making - 22nd September 2020

Year 4 have been making axes (out of cardboard!) as part of their work studying the Vikings. They've used them as props in their freeze frames of some of the scenes in the story of Beowolf that they have been learning in their English lessons.

To support children with developing their writing skills, we use Pie Corbett's Talk 4 Writing process throughout the school. This involves children learning a story, including actions, which they can then use to support their own independent writing. We hope you like the story that children in Year 4 have been learning.
